Oil Field steel tanks come in either low profile or high profile tanks. The profile is determined by the height of the tanks. Tanks less than 16 feet are considered low profile tanks and tanks above 16 feet are considered high profile tanks.

Low profile tank sizes

Low profile tanks range from 210 BBL to 1000 bbl

210 bbl is 10 foot diameter and 12 foot high

300 bbl is 12 foot diameter and 15 foot high

500 bbl is 15'6" diameter and 16 foot high

1000 bbl is 21'6" diameter and 16 foot high

High profile tank sizes

High profile tanks range from 400 bbl to 1000 bbl

400 bbl is 12 foot diameter and 20 foot high

500 bbl is 12 foot diameter and 24 foot high

750 bbl is 15'6" diameter and 24 foot high

1000 bbl is 15'6" diameter and 30 foot high.

Each company specify their profile requirement to meet the needs of individual drilling wells.

The photo below shows a high profile 750 bbl tank (15'6" diameter and 24 foot height) in the background is a low profile 1000 bbl tanks (21'6" diameter and 16 foot height).
